Women Empowerment has provided women with the opportunities they were previously denied, however, this has given rise to exploitation
For many years up until the early 1920’s women have been denied their basic rights as part of a community. Nonetheless, from then, changes have been introduced for the better; women are now given equal rights to men in terms of education, voting, employment, the right to resources, and choices as well as becoming figures of influence, nationally and internationally. However, the word empowerment can sometimes be misused where it no longer means equality, but rather, dominance, which has lead to social and political conflict amongst individuals in different regions of the world. Additionally, the idea of women empowerment is also sometimes interpreted as a luxury rather than a necessity for women to survive and grow, which causes the topic to not get as much importance as it should. Each delegate in this council should acknowledge and accept the views being put forward, striving to develop as nations and individuals while trying to make the world a better place for both, men and women.
Around the world, many people are uneducated and unaware of the women's rights their country must provide and enforce
In the most developed countries, communities and groups of people can be found unaware of the women’s rights and the laws within their country. This results in women becoming victims of dire issues such as the wage gap, sexual harassment (at the workplace or even just out on the street) and child and forced marriages. Issues like these have given rise to movements like “Me Too” and the “Women’s March”, lead by women who are trying to raise their voice for their rights. The significant individuals should be able to discuss methods of educating the public and appealing to and educating the audiences such as the government, men in society and women looking to preserve the old-fashioned gender-roles in their communities, so as to become a united community, which will ensure the protection and implementation of women’s rights and promote gender equality for every part of the world to flourish, whether it be in the home or the workplace.
