Rishi Malhotra is a year 13 student at The British School of Bahrain. A passionate public speaker, he has fine-tuned his communication skills to incorporate boldness and diplomacy. His vast knowledge and interest in Economics have provided him with an analytical approach to everything, be it his opinions on solving some of the world's major issues or his extracurricular work on data analysis. He is deeply fascinated by the extensive realm of computing and has taken strides to develop his skill repertoire around it. Rishi has an agreeable and humorous personality which includes his love for rounds of passionate and intense debates. Having participated Model UNs for over 4 years as chair and delegate, it has long been his wish to organize an MUN conference. Having taken the responsibility for organizing this year’s BritMUN VI, he looks forward to ensuring a dynamic conference.
Having participated in various conferences since year 8, Karthik is able to assess the workings of MUN from a first-hand perspective. As Deputy-Secretary General, Karthik’s main aim is to use his previous experience to eradicate potential shortcomings and make BritMUN VI a memorable experience for all those who participate. Karthik’s main role revolves around conference planning, logistics, and overseeing administrative duties. Karthik hopes for all participants to leave the conference having gained several valuable skills which will prove to be a great asset in future.
Being an active member in the MUN community, Smayan has been able to learn and grow from his previous experiences; more importantly, he is able to use his experience to envision “a dynamic conference”. As Deputy Secretary General, Smayan’s aim is for the both participants and organizers to have a blissful experience. Smayan is primarily involved in the content of debates and crisis issues while overseeing administrative tasks and both learning from and guiding other committee members of BritMUN VI. Smayan looks forward to see Delegates thinking on their feet while shaping the future beyond classrooms.
Khalid is a well respected individual who has considerable experience in management of people. He has held various positions of responsibility in the past and emulate the sense of security felt by delegates in a real United Nations conference. His main role is to organize other members on the security team for this BritMUN conference and assign them with various responsibilities and ultimately refine the team and their protocols on the whole.
Having attended six MUN conferences, Rameen has the attributes needed to be effective at her post. As Head of Council Allocations, she is responsible for choosing topics for each council and its delegates to debate on, allocating delegates into councils and formulating crisis issues to keep the councils’ debates captivating. Her inclination towards debates and law have helped her set councils and topics for BritMUN VI that will prove to be the basis of a notable conference.
Abhijeet, a year 12 student at the British School of Bahrain, is a hardworking member of the team. With having a particular knack in the field of mathematics, Abhijeet is a great asset to the BritMUN VI team as the Head of Finance. Abhijeet’s job is predominantly to manage the inflow and outflow of money in a diligent manner as well as creating budgets and approving quotations.
Imran is a forward thinker with excellent marketing skills and has effectively and efficiently been branding britmun as a must-do event. As head of branding, Imran oversees all form of advertisements and marketing for BritMUN VI. He also manages the way britmun is presented to the public to portray a professional image of the event.
As the head of media, Neha is responsible for the social media accounts of BritMUN VI. Neha is an outgoing and charismatic person who uses knowledge gained from her previous MUN experiences and her familiarity with social media, understanding of general media and photography to ensure that accurate and clear content is released to the public. She is responsible for all press and works closely with the Branding and IT Departments. She believes that she will be able to capture the essence of BritMUN VI in a way that will be seen by everyone, now and for the future.
Aryaman is Head of IT for this year's BritMUN conference. Due to his exceptional background in computer science, he has made an excellent website that presents all the information effectively and in an easy-to-read manner. Furthermore, his job includes helping others with IT related affairs such as creating spreadsheets with formulae and ensuring important updates are uploaded to the website in a timely manner.
Atta is a well-honed and diligent member of this year’s BritMUN team and has been participating in MUN from a young age. Despite that, he continues to manifest an increasingly burgeoning interest in Model United Nations. This year Atta takes on the role of the Executive Committee, where he went beyond what was required, as he employed his connections effectively in order to obtain sponsorships from multinational brands like Coca-Cola and helped provision and cater the entire event. Thus, in this year’s BritMUN he's the Head of Operations and Facilities.
Azhan is an experienced, hard-working and meticulous member of the BritMUN committee, who has been participating and organizing such events for 4 consecutive years. He plays a vital role in this year's MUN, as the backbone of the team as he controls the logistics and management of the conference. His role revolves around remaining in touch with all the divisions of the MUN community on the day, to ensure that everything operates smoothly and no issues arise.
With 16 MUN experiences, Mohammed is the perfect fit for our Head of Public Relations role. His job is to maintain the strong connection between students, teachers, schools and our conference! As an established member of the MUN community, he strives to help anyone with no boundaries whatsoever.
