The rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transexual people around the world vary greatly and are heavily influenced by a country’s openness, culture, and in particular their religious. The general trend, particularly in the western world, has been moving towards a culture of tolerance for these minority groups. In other parts of the world such as Muslim countries the LGBT community is not given equal rights to the heterosexual community, due to the belief that the general life cycle is being broken by these minority groups. Delegates of this council should stride towards producing a plausible resolution to the issue, accepting everyone’s views.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is an oil-rich nation located in the northern part ofSouth America. Currently, Venezuela is suffering from political conflict and economic downturn. This has arisen increasing levels of crime, poverty, Inflation and shortages in basic necessities. Venezuela's economy has crippled over the last decade, with widespread protests, Venezuela is in need of solutions and action from the international community. Understanding Venezuelan politics and the rise of Nicolas Maduro is crucial to discuss the complexities of this crisis and how it affects not only Venezuela but also the international community. Therefore, Delegates of the Security Council must delve for solutions to the ongoing Venezuelan crisis, and come up with methods that would effortlessly allow UN to intervene, bearing in mind the UN's goals.
